Breakfast at 9:00am!

Start your morning with a hearty American breakfast at Le Peep of Las Colinas. Enjoy fresh, made from scratch, delish American eats at a reasonable price. Irving Arts Center at 10:00am!

Visit the Irving Art Center and peruse the traditional and contemporary art work by established as well as up-and-coming local and regional artists. The center has four galleries and a sculpture garden. Tour the sculpture garden that features temporary and permanent sculptures designed by world famous sculptor-James Surls.

The Mustangs of Las Colinas at 11:00am!

Head off to the spectacular largest equestrian sculpture in the world- The Mustangs of Las Colinas. It is a bronze sculpture of nine mustangs that depicts the wild mustangs’ historical significance in Texas. Also, check out an art display by Robert Glen, an African wildlife artist, at the Mustangs of Las Colinas Museum.

Ruth Paine House Museum at 12:00pm!

Next head off to the Ruth Paine House Museum that features the historic events associated to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Tour the museum and check out the exhibitions of the legacy, life and death of President John F. Kennedy. The museum has more than 400 historic photos, documentary film, artifacts and interactive exhibits. Encounter with history!

Lunch at 1:00pm!

Head to Big State Drug Fountain and Grill (Main St. and Irving Blvd. Main St. and Irving Blvd., Irving, Texas) that serves up American far, or swing by Villa's Grill (137 South Main Street) for some steak and South American cuisine. Craving for Mexican, head off to Danal's Mexican Restaurant (508 N. O'Connor Rd). For delicious BBQ, stop by Fred's Pit BBQ (808 E Irving Blvd).


Jackie Townsell Bear Creek Heritage Center at 2:00pm!

Head off to Jackie Townsell Bear Creek Heritage Center that showcases the history of the oldest African-American community in the area. This heritage museum features the cultural and political history of the area settled in 1850 by emancipated slaves. The Heritage Center encompasses a native plant garden, three buildings and a pavilion. Each of the building features history of Bear Creek community. The J.O. David House features chronicles the story of Bear Creek Community through exhibits and photographs. The Sam Green House features period furnishings, signage and artifacts. The Bear Creek Masonic Lodge building features the experience of African-American from the time of liberation through the 1950s-60s Civil Rights Movement.

National Scouting Museum at 4:00pm!

Next, head off to National Scouting Museum that features one of the largest collections of Norman Rockwell’s works. Know the scouting history through interactive exhibits, historical collections and artifacts at this museum.  It honors the rich and interesting history of the Boy Scouts of America.

Go Shopping at 5:00pm!

Visit the MacArthur Park Shopping Center that has more than 12 stores ranging from major clothing retailers to home goods to dessert shops. Anchor stores include Michaels, Target, The Gap, Kroger, Ross, TJ Maxx and Office Depot.

Visit the Irving Mall that features more than 130 stores. Anchor stores include Dillard’s, Macy’s, Sears, and Burlington Coat Factory. Some of the specialty shops housed here are Shoe Palace, American Eagle Outfitters, Victoria’s Secret, and more. The mall has everything from men and women apparels to shoes to jewelry and accessories.

Drinks and Dinner at 7:00pm!
