Mustangs of Las Colinas
Mustangs of Las Colinas is one of the world’s largest equestrian sculpture. It is a magnificent bronze sculpture of nine mustangs featuring the historical importance of wild mustangs in Texas. Close to it is the Mustangs of Las Colinas Museum that features an art display and a short film detailing effort and time went into creating mustangs by Robert Glen, an African wildlife artist. A must-visit spot in Irving!

Jackie Townsell Bear Creek Heritage Museum features the history of the Bear Creek, the oldest African-American community in the area. This heritage museum showcases the history of the area settled in 1850 by emancipated slaves. The cultural and political events of the Bear Creek community are showcased. The Heritage Center encompasses a native plant garden, three buildings and a pavilion. Each of the building depicts a different part of the history. The J.O. David House features chronicles the story of Bear Creek Community through exhibits and photographs. The Sam Green House features period furnishings, signage and artifacts. The Bear Creek Masonic Lodge building features the experience of African-American from the time of liberation through the 1950s-60s Civil Rights Movement.
